Thermocouples are designed for temperature measurement of glass melt and other corrosive liquid media.
TCS, TCR (TCB) thermocouple is located in multichannel ceramic tube, which is inside aluminium-oxide ceramic thermowell. Thermowell is protected with metal tip LTHERMOWELL long made of platinum-rhodium alloy. Tip is fixed by means of a tube LC long. The tube is made of alumina ceramic and reinforced with heat-resistant Fe-Cr-45%Ni alloy pipe. Thermocouple design is patented.
L, LC, LTHERMOWELL, L1, L2, L3 dimensions should be explicitly specified at the time of thermocouple order.
Temperature in transition zone between platinum-rhodium tip and thermowell ceramic part should not exceed 1000°С under operating conditions. Recommended thermocouple immersion depth in glass melt should be 30¸50 mm less than LTHERMOWELL.
Movable fitting UNKJ 031, UNKJ 041 or movable mounting flange UNKJ 030 are recommended for thermocouple installation at site
Tolerance class: 1 or 2 for TCS and TCR; 2 or 3 for TCB
Metail reinforcement material Т45 – alloy Fe-Cr-45%Ni

ТPR10 – alloy: 90% platinum, 10% rhodium; ТPR20 – alloy: 80% platinum, 20% rhodium
Note: To prevent inner ceramic thermowell destruction due to high temperature gradient when thermowell is immersed in working medium, thermocouple heating rate should not exceed 150°С/min.
Hot junction: one, two or three, ungrounded from thermowell metal reinforcement
